ABOUT

Granite Bay Japanese Church

MISSION STATEMENT

Spread the Gospel and God’s love to Japanese community, making disciples of Jesus Christ in northern California and around the world.

“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

— Matthew 28:19

Core Values

Faith-Focused!

There is one God, who is infinitely perfect, existing eternally in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We are faith-filled risk takers, focused on the future.

“I can do all this through Him who gives me strength.”

Phillipians 4:13

Japanese Language!

We connect with Japanese speakers, their families and friends through physical church in northern California, and reach out to Japanese speakers worldwide through missionaries, technology, charities, and prayer.

“The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few.”

Matthew 9:37

Biblical Principles!

The traits, values, and belief systems are taken from the Bible and applied to everyday life.

“Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.”

Psalm 119:105

Christ-Centered!

We imitate Christ in all thought, word, and deed.

“For to this you have been called, because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example, so that you might follow in his steps.”

1 Peter 2:21

3 John 1:6-8 ESV

“Beloved, it is a faithful thing you do in all your efforts for these brothers, strangers as they are, who testified to your love before the church. You will do well to send them on their journey in a manner worthy of God. For they have gone out for the sake of the name, accepting nothing from the Gentiles. Therefore we ought to support people like these, that we may be fellow workers for the truth.”
